i decided id try out the npc method before trying to use social skills, and i got the infection within ten minutes of when i started walking. i went to one of the red circles in bankorai, and there was 2 werewolves just chilling there, so i let them attack me for a minute and bam i had it.

Can you contract lycanthropy from werewolves in northern Skyrim?
Are vamps more popular? I went to the wayshrine in Rimmen and asked for a vamp bite and in less than a minute a friendly player summoned me to the shrine and bit me. With werewolf I exhausted myself asking for a bite in Rimmen, went to Reaper's March and kept asking. No luck. I even accidentally stumbled upon a pack of vampires....

@Tewbee Honestly mate, you're much better off just waiting at a shrine until someone comes along to bite you. Even if it takes a while, there are a lot of people who come by when their weekly bite resets to check the shrine.
After getting bitten 2 times I can say becoming a werewolf is really easy

Took me about 7 hours of asking while sat at a shrine to get a bite. Results vary.

If you get bitten, you get the skill-line, which has the ultimate that transforms you. So you can turn into a werewolf any time you activate that ultimate.
The DLC doesn't give you anything, just two dungeons that are werewolf themed.

Then you do the quest to get the skill-line.
Necro-post because I need a vent. I dunno if I'm the only one encountering this, but twice now I've been bitten by two seperate friends and twice I've been left without the werewolf infection.
I dunno if it's something to do with my character specifically or if it's just bugged at the moment, but both times I got the "Devour Glitch". Gunna try again in two or three days, whenever a friend of mine is off cool-down. Hopefully it works.
This has officially been the hardest part of ESO for me.
I'm infected and don't have any idea of how or when it happened!
I'm now in therapy because i'm more of a cat person, than a dog person :(

No, you can only be one at a time. If you are a vampire you need to be cured by a priest in order to become a werewolf. It only lasts a short time but you can increase the time by feeding

@Shadow It's quite rare getting the infection from a mob actually (but not impossible). Asking another player is probably the faster way to do it.

You have to be cured of vamprisim so go to priest and get that cured so you can become infected as a werewolf

ok i know im late but i just started the quest to find the packleader and i went to two shrines so far (riften and reaper) and the packmaster wont spawn im an argonian but im part of the daggerfall convent due to the change your race change your alliance am i missing something or what? (also i got bit by NPC werewolf....dont know if that affects anything)

No, but the relevant quest with Hircine is recommended for you to be about level 38.

There are many of them spawning around different places, but not every werewolf can infect you, only the ones that spawn near these locations.

Is being a werewolf when removing the sanies lupinus effect, then you are still a full werewolf and it does not affect my snare, etc.? And is it possible to regain the effect of sanies lupinus? I am waiting for a response my English so bad xd

Nothing really requires you to be a werewolf in the game and Hircine's quest ends once you "officially" become a werewolf and leave the Hunting Grounds. But if you want more werewolf adventures, take a look at the Wolfhunter DLC (you can try it for free on ESO+ events). :)

And the results of this is? The fact that now I have as I should have, i.e. only lycanthropy without additional effect sanies lupinus long time after completion, task a and I have one last question, are there any other tasks related to Hiricne that do not require sanies lupinus effect? And if sanies lupinus gave us something else, I would like to change it in werewolf by the task?

If you bought it from the Crown Store, there is no quest. You get the skill-line automatically.

Hi, I've been running around like a headless chicken trying to start the quests. I've tried finding the woman in riften, I've tried gong to the shrine and getting the scroll and nothing spawns for me. I'm frustrated because I bought the werewolf ability from the crown store and I just want my quests. I don't have a quest in my quest log as mine is always full :((( have I glitched my game?

The quest starts in Riften for the Pact. The description in your quest journal will tell you which NPC you should look for.
